LYFE in the Community: LYFE Kitchen Volunteers at Hidden Villa Organic Farm

This is one of the reasons I joined up with the good people at LYFE Kitchen.  For them, it’s not about just starting a restaurant, it’s about a way of life. They realize the importance of good philosophy permeating and impacting every part of their lives, and that way of approaching life — from a sense of wholeness — is very important to me.

One of the key pillars of the vision of LYFE Kitchen is our commitment to our community and support of sustainable practices both at the restaurant and throughout the community. Recently, with the help of some research by our Certified Trainer Johanna Schumacher, the LYFE Kitchen team volunteered at Hidden Villa, a nonprofit educational organization that uses its organic farm, wilderness, and community to teach and provide opportunities to learn about the environment and social justice.

With an overwhelming number of eager LYERS willing to volunteer their time outside of work, we took three shifts to Hidden Villa to plant strawberry plants and spruce up fruit trees over the beautiful 1600 acres of open space in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Johanna who once worked on an organic farmer in Alaska did a great job of selecting a local organization whose mission creates a perfect synergy with the LYFE Kitchen brand. The team left inspired and renewed to our commitment to be environmental stewards to make the world a better place.

LYFE Kitchen’s Sixth Sense: LYFE Kitchen is a socially responsible brand that will awaken the customer’s “Sixth Sense” – the intrinsic desire to do right and make powerful purchasing decisions that inspire good in the world.
