Thanks to everyone who joined in with the NCAA Yahoo! Group we organized. It looks like we all enjoyed watching our brackets become dismantled by all the upsets and Cinderellas.
When we started the group, we announced we would be handing out prizes to the overall winner of the group. We also chose to award prizes for the brackets that ranked immediately in front of the five featured brackets submitted by Ike Taylor, LaMaar Woodley, Alex Holmes, Wild Hair Media, and Troy’s Hair. Any ties would be broken with a quick random drawing. The official winners and their prizes are listed below.

In case you’re wondering how the ranking is determined, over 200 brackets had the same number of points as, for instance, Ike Taylor. We were looking for the bracket that had a rank immediately in front of each of these brackets. Ike was ranked 1738. The bracket that ranked 1737 had the same 56 points, but beat Ike’s bracket via a better tiebreaker prediction. Over 200 brackets had 56 points (including Alex Holmes’ Bracket), so it all came down to the tiebreaker predictions to determine the final positions in the Yahoo! ranks.

Glad to see “GoPitt” won something. My heart was broken by my Panthers again. (Tough year to be a Pittsburgh fan) Oh well – we’ll get them next year!

Troy! This totally rocks! I too will be clearing off the mantle for the most PROMINENT display of my newest treasure; a autographed Troy #43 Football!!!!! And, hey – since we live SOO close to each other this time of year (I’m in RSM – just west of Mission Viejo), feel free to deliver in person! I’ll put in some Kahlua pig, Hawaiian mac salad and rice, and we’ll chop it up about next season. Whaddaya say???
