Wieden + Kennedy Portland pulls off a a football-centered, fast-paced and wonderfully shot ad that centers on the notion that ‘Faster’ is the new ‘Stronger.’ With an all-star cast, including Troy Polamalu, Calvin Johnson, Darrelle Revis, as well as NFL official Mike Carey, directed by Mark Romanek and edited by the Oscar-winning Kirk Baxter, the ad is set in the tunnel of a football stadium. If a football tunnel was white, stylish and beautiful.
Clean, bright cuts abound, with occasional shots of a fast sports car, jet engines and running legs. The voiceover, meanwhile, is just as as resounding, telling you, that despite what the old tale says, “The tortoise never wins.”
