To be completely fair — you’re no bolt of lightning, but you’re fast as a mongoose and your defensive prowess/ability to see the play forming before it happens DO make for a NASTY combination!! My question is HOW DO THEY NOT SEE YOU COMING!?!? You can’t miss the hair!
Keep it real for the Steel City.

You aren’t as fast as a bolt of lightining, you ARE a bolt of lightining that shines as brightly on the field as it does off the field. Amazing play. We’ll see this again and again on highlight reels this football season. Good job, Troy!

first of all i have never liked the steelers as a team, but have liked some of the players, and must say i do like MR.TROY P. you are aclass act and enjoy watching you play, its like for a football fan ,exciting when the ball snaps, and your on d. im 46 and watched a lot of ball, and i would put you in my top ten defence, and like your humbleness, could you go to the lions when contract is over? take care and dont hit stafford to hard when you play him.stay healthy. t.lamb.

I would love to say that Troy is as fast as a bolt of lightning but scientifically it’s impossible. The visible flash of lightning happens so fast, in about one-millionth of a second, the human eye doesn’t see the actual formation of the strike. A return stroke of bright luminosity travels about 60,000 miles per second back towards the cloud. This is how we see the lightning. Therefore, the statement , “Faster than a bolt of lightning”, is riduculous.
I still love #43 and am so very glad to have you back. I’ve missed you, Troy. Keep on keepin’ on and please stay healthy. You DO make the difference. GO STEELERS !!! :-)

The only other Steeler I’ve ever seen do that was the Great Jack Hamm.

That looked just like a play from one of the SB games against Dallas. If you re watch them you’ll spot it. The announcers make a point to show it up close and in slo mo.

    That’s pretty good company there!

Ed Reed is good, but he has NOTHING on Troy! Troy Polamalu is the best safety I have ever seen play the game of football- he is a huge playmaker, he can makle a tackle from anywhere on the field, he can sack the quarterback, the list goes on and one. He Has been doing this for years, and NO ONE can find a way to stop him. Keep it up Troy!
    GO STEELERS!!!!!

Clint Mac had a good pre season. Would like to see him get some snaps. For the Bengals to win, foergt about throwing 40 times. The offense needs to powerdrive it with running. CedBen I think really wants to plow the fields tonight. They need to get BScott the ball at least 10-15 times too.I’d dink & dunk the Steelers if the Bengals want to pass. Then OCCASIONALLY pass downfield a LITTLE MORE. But only when in the Shotgun.Own the running lanes. And then use J Gresham, JShip and BScott and BLeonard to dinkpass the Steelers. Palmer will not get much time to air it out and wait in the pocket for the downfield receivers to get some separation. The Steelers will blitz on our OLine like crazy, because it’s not very good.Interested in seeing A smith runblock. I’ve seen him plow a guy 5 yards into the ground. It’ll be interesting how much they run over his side tonight. If JohnJoe is back tonight, I’d go with man coverage and send blitzers from both sides on BigBen. They need to do this early and often. The Bengals have to set the tone they’re playing 60 minutes tonight.Love to see BScott run a kickoff tonight for a TD.Here’s to hoping.
